It would be less time consuming to transcode to Pro Res when you captured as Ken suggested. If it has already been captured then you needn't bother with QT conversion. Just highlight the clips you want to transcode and do a batch export with the export settings set to the Pro Res you want. Then you can delete your other clips and bring in the Pro Res versions.
