optimizing FCP on iMac.

Hi all,

I have recently bought the 3.06GHz iMac with the Nvidia 8800 and 2GB of RAM. I was gonna get the Quad Core Mac Pro but Apple were being a P.I.T.A. about finance and buying online and couldn't get them in store and blah blah blah - long story short, this was the best i could get on credit and kinda needed a machine ASAP.

I want to know if there is anything I can do, besides getting another 2 gig of ram, to improve the overall performance of the machine? Any settings in FCP I can change that will put the pretty powerful graphics card to best use etc?

Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Mat,

You are going to be just fine with your iMac. Adding ram will really help, 4 gigs will do nicely.
