QuickTime Version Advice

Howdy,

I'm running FCS 1 (FCP 5.1.4) on a G5 Dual 2.5 GHz, 4 gigs ram, OS 10.4.11. QT version I'm running is 7.4.5 Should it be a newer one?

If things are working properly and you have no issues, I would stay where you are.

My system is working fine, but always wondering about a chart that points out the latest versions that work together. Ian has updated versions of QT & OS then my system, should I update to his working versions?

Hi Clayton,

You did not say what versions you are running.

If everything is working properly and you in the middl of a project, then don't do anything.

Only uopdate if there are new features or fixes in the update that you need.

If you plan on updating FCP then you'll need to update QT as well. 10.4.11 is very stable.

I'm currently running: FCP 5.1.4 /QT 7.1.5 /OS 10.4.10. Should I update to QT 7.4.5 & OS 10.4.11?

I'm a little worried about 5.1.4 and QT 7.4.5.

I think it could be a problem.

As long as you are on 5.1.4, stay where you are on the OS and QT.
