all my effects tabs (dissolves, fades, etc.) just went away some time ago. I can still grab effects from pulldown menu but can't figure out how to reinstate the usual view.

Press CMD + (

or choose Window > Effects

Hey Ronny,

Thanks. You'd think that would be under view but it's right there in window...unchecked. I can't check it now because I'm exporting but I'm sure that's it. Thanks again.
