Hi Mat,
Did you pick ProRes HQ or non HQ. For HDV, don't use HQ and the files ill be much smaller?
Before you export, Sequence settings > Render control > ProRes. Render, then export to ProRes.

Hi Ken,
Yes, I used HQ when exporting. Will there be a noticeable quality difference if i export without using the HQ setting? I have enough drive space to store files that size, but I'm just wondering if its worth using the HQ setting.
Thanks Ken.
Mat.

Hi Mat,
From what I have been told, non HQ is correct for HDV. When I use ProRes for HDV, I use non-HQ.
Hard to get anyone to say specifically where the line should be drawn between non HQ and HQ.

Hi Ken,
I just followed your advice and got a squeezed image even though I checked preserve letterbox aspect ratio in the QT Conversion tool.

Phil,
What advice was that, you'll have to refresh me on the issue. I don't know what you are making reference to.

What you wrote Mat above. I did it and unchecked "Letterbox" in the ProRes export and got it unsqueezed. So all is OK, Ken.
