FCP 6 and P2 workflow?

I have been using my HVX 200 with a Firestore 100 and the workflow is beautiful inside of FCP6- never a problem. However, in the field the flimsy firewire connection to the camera has proved to be a problem- I do not want to have to deal with lost connection when shooting! For this reason I am going to purchase, upon availability, 2 64GIG P2 cards. My questions are as follows:
1. Has anyone encountered any transfer problems or any problems at all with the P2 workflow?
2. Can I transfer right from the camera to my Mac Pro or must I purchase a P2 reader for a couple of grand?
3. Anyone here use this workflow with the HVX 200?

I love the camera and am considering the HVX 200A but for right now I am interested in the P2 cards but am a bit concerned- thank you guys (and gals)
