Compression for archival film projects

Any suggestions for exporting a high quality quicktime version of a 2-hour documentary that includes a number of archival news clips.
Everything is in sync in FCP - but, when I exported to "uncompressed 8-bit, NTSC 48khz" (suggested for a high quality quicktime) - my archival news clips are out of sync from picture/audio. Everything else looked good.
Is this due to the setting I chose? Anything better?
I'm going to use either Compressor or Sorrenson Squeeze after this point.
Thanks.

If you export
File > Export > QT (Not with Conversion). Make Self Contained, Use Current Settings, Do Not Recompress all frames.
you will get an exact and perfect clone of your timeline.
