Re: Upgrade to FCP 6.0.4

I am running a G5 with Mac OS X 10.4.11 and FCP 6.0. I tried to install the FCP 6.0.4 upgrade. Compressor upgraded, but FCP 6.0.4 did not. Do I need to run the 6.0.3 upgrade first to make this work?

Go to softare update and dnl what is there for Pro Apps. Then go back and you should see more available.

Running QT 7.5. I ran the software update and now the computer shows me up to date. I still cannot install FCP updates. Do I need to run 6.0.1, then 6.0.2 until i get to 6.0.4? If i do, where can I find the updates on the apple site? The reason I am doing this is for the "file is too new for this version" warning bug that was fixed in 6.0.2.

Should...but are not. Could the updates be going to the wrong folder?

checked the receipts folder. no final cut updates listed at all. that's why it's very confusing. This computer was set up for my client by Promax. They have a back up hard drive as well. wondering if the update are getting confused and not going to the proper location to be recognized.

I have more information, maybe this will help. The computer was originally installed with FCP 4.0 on the HD and the back up hard drive. Last summer, my client bought Studio 2 FCP 6.0 and installed it himself. The receipts folder had 4.1.1 receipts which I have trashed. Right now there are no upgrade receipts for FCP and the update is saying no new software is available. It did update compressor 3.0.3 from the recent Pro Apps update, but not FCP 6.0.4.

Everything seems to be named the same as it was installed with the icons and all. I trashed all of the update receipt packages and tried to install 6.0.4 again to no avail. Do the updates need to be done in order, or can I go from 6.0.0 to 6.0.4 without the other subsequent updates?
