Re: FCP uninstall

I want to clean up my system and remove FCP and reinstall it. I've never done this before and wanted to ask the forum what I need to do to remove everything before I try installing FCP again. I.E. which folders i need to go into to make sure everything is removed and what I look for in each folder. Thanks for your help, I just want to get it right before I go in a and try again.

Hi Ken,

I bought a used Mac Pro from my friend. He had FCP 6.0.2 on it. I want to uninstall it so I can load FCP 6.0.1, that I purchased, on it, then I'll upgrade to 6.0.3.

I used the digital rebellion app to uninstall but when I loaded my FCP it continued to use his license number. How do I get rid of the old license number?

Hi Mark,

HD > Library > App Support > Pro Apps > Final Cut Studio System ID

Put the system ID in the trash (do not empty). Lauch FCP and enter your number. See if this works, if it does not, put the old ID back.
