Hello.

This happened to me once before and now it's happening again.

I created a DVD in DVD SP and it plays fine on my computer, but not in my DVD player. The DVD player said "no title" and then "data disk". Is this a clue?

I'm burning a HD DVD on a regular DVD disk. Is that a problem?

Please let me know.

How did you export out of FCP?

Tell us the process you used to MPEG2 your video and how did you author the DVD?

Hi Ken,

I'm shooting with a Panasonic HDC-SD5PP. It says, "HD 1920X 1080 and AVCHD" on the body of the camera.

In FCP I'm exporting as a QT movie using "Current Settings" - "Self Contained" movie.

In DVD SP my preferences are: Project> HD DVD. General> 1920 X1080i and 16:9 Letterbox. Encoding> MPED 2HD - 2 Pass VBR

It looks like you are trying to create a HD DVD in DVD SP, but DVD SP can not author HD DVDs (Blue ray) and unless you have purchased a Blu-ray burner, you can not burn Blue ray HD DVDs.

Use your QT self contained to create a SD DVD in DVD SP.

So, I'll burn SD DVDs at 1920 X 1080 until I get a Blu-ray burner. Is that right?

I'm sorry... what does "software to author" mean? Are you say I need something besides DVD SP?

At this point in time you can not author a Blue-ray DVD with DVD SP, only Encore from Adobe.

I've got Toast 9. It seems to have Blu-ray setting. Will that work?

The latest version, 9.0.2 (I believe) will now burn Blu-ray.
