Import AVCHD

Hi Ken and All,

I have a couple of 4Gb HDSC cards containing AVCHD files and I can't open them in any apps. Opens on desktop but "unsupported" in I-Life & FCS 2 (FCP, I Movie , I DVD, DVD SP).

Hi John,

With the card mounted on the desktop, open FCP. Set your Scratch disk. In the Browser create a Loging Bin.

Now File menu > Log and Transfer window. Click the little + upper left of the L & T window and navigate to the mounted card. Select the card and click on open.

It will take awhile, but your clips should appear in the Browser (Upper left). Then proceed as normal, set In and outs in the Viewer of the L & T, name the clip and then 'add to queue'. When it's in the queue, the import process will happen automatically.
