My MacPro DVD Burner has capability to burn dual layer on DVD+R only. So, how do I get there from here?

Is there a work-around to get from my Final Cut Pro 6 (HD (960x720) 24p, 16:9 to DVD dual layer?

You're asking about burning HD content on a dual-layer disc? If you want it to be compatible with most standalone DVD players you'll need to convert your content to SD before bringing it in to DVD-SP.
