STP Pro 2 "Reduce Noise" Question

How do you properly access the "Set Noise" and "Reduce Noise" buttons or otherwise map them onto the menu bar next to "Crossfade" like in the Apple demo? I have an unfortunate need to try out this particular function. I tried accessing the "Set Noise" function through the pulldown menu after selecting the noise sample, but it wouldn't light up. Obviously, I'm doing something wrong.
