Re: log and capture

Hey guys

I am importing HDV and I have ticked the box "create new clip on start/stop"

They are MiniDV cassettes that I use. When it captures the first 8min 32sec and 12frames of the 1st clip and without stopping starts to capture the next clip it with out stoping the log and capture process. It only picks it up from 8min 41sec and 14frames.

So it misses severall seconds of footage.

There are no timecode breaks.

I am editing on a g5 quad, model powermac 11.2 FCP 5.1.4

I hope i have explained my problem properly.

HI Jon,

You might want to check the format of the drive you are capturing to. Is it Mac OS Extended (Journaling off), or is it FAT 32?" FAT 32 has a file size limit of 2 gigs.
