Hi folks

I've been given a whole bunch of excellent stock footage in HD, but trying to use it in an SD project. Using it as HD and wire-frame/Motion adjusting is slow work, and finding/selecting clips in Viewer is very hard...Jog and Shuttle, JKL, Left-Right arrow keys, etc not responsive enough...so...

How do I convert the HD to SD?

Select the clips in the browser and batch export them. Make sure you choose the correct settings IE: DV NTSC 48K and destination.

Also Roy, do you have FCP 6? If so, if you'll place you first SD clip with the proper settings, anything that you add after that will be converted to the settings of your first clip. I do this all the time when I need to add HD to SD, etc...

Another thing that you can do is export like John said, and if you need the highest resolution, instead of using current settings, change it to either DVCPRO settings, or use Prorez settings.
