Sync Audio Files

Editing a feature. Shot on 35mm, telecined to DV cam. Dailies digged from Cinema tools batch lists created from Cinema tools databases. Once editing is completed the film wil be neg cut. Shooting is still on going.

Now we have to replace the 2 channels of audio that digged in with the video on each clip, with wave files (4 channels) recorded on set.

Question. What is the best way to sync the new imported audio files with the digged video clips and retain each clips connection to the cinema tools database so we can create cut lists later when the film is cut.

Follow up. Boy is this a mess.

If I syncronize new audio files to the existing digged daillies (as described above) and create new merged clips, will these new merged clips, trace back to my cinema tools database for neg cutting.

Also how will any of this effect scenes that have already me cut?

I know someone out there must of been through this sitch. Any help will be great.
