How To Handle This Sequence Issue?

How To Handle This Sequence Issue? (July 25, 2008 11:28AM) larrys
What I have are about 75 clips of testimonials now placed in my sequence. I now want to rearrange the clips in a new order and add transitions, etc... What is the best way to take the clips and put them into a new order?

Thanks,

Larry

Cut (Command x) and Paste (Command v) or Insert (Shift v). But normally you'd place the clips in the Timeline in the order you wanted them in the first place.

DH,

Thanks. Yes, you're right. I wanted to take all the clips out of the footage that was taped so i could see what i had to work with. How would you suggest doing this in the future?

Thanks,

Larry

First, only log and capture clips you think you might use. Naming them properly (descriptively) during the logging process will help when you start editing. Once captured and in the Browser, double-click the clip you'll use first to load it into the Viewer. Set an IN and OUT point, then edit into the Timeline. Repeat as needed for all other clips in the order that you want them.
