motion fx in fcp

Some of the fxplug effects for motion are available in FCP and I use them regularly. However, I notice that some are available on some systems while not on others. Specifically, all the motion glow effects are available at one of my clients but not at the other, even though the systems are basically the same. My guess is that the plug-ins are installed in different locations and therefore FCP is not seeing them. Any insight into an easy way to remedy this?

It's the 64 mb of VRAM on the gfx card that is the culprit.

Hard to find the minimum specs for Motion but I have this, which is the list for Motion 1.

Display with 1024 x 768 resolution or higher (1280 x 1024 resolution recommended)
One of the following graphics cards:
- ATI Radeon 9800 XT (R360)
- ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (R350)
- ATI Radeon 9700 Pro (R300)
- ATI Radeon 9600 XT (RV360)
- ATI Radeon 9600 Pro (RV350)
- ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 (RV M11)
- ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 (RV M100
- nVidia GeForce Go5200 (NV34M)
- nVidia GeForce FX 5200 Ultra (NV34)

All of the above mention cards have more than 64 megs of V-ram, as this list is old, there are many new cards that will work.

You did not tell us what Mac you are running or what monitor youn are using.

my bad.

dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5 with 5 gigs of RAM, but apparently not a burly enough graphics card. I have a 20 inch cinema display.
