PAL to NTSC

HI Ken, I have a PAL clip edited in Pal Sequence in FCP. I wanted to export or print to tape this sequence to a DV tape. I have a Sony PD170 NTSC camera and Panasonic DV deck. I did try, but I am not sure what it wrong.
From the project, I exported the sequence as an NTSC QuickTime clip. Then I have created a new project, deleted the sequence and created a new sequence and change the Easy setup to NTSC, then imported the clip try to print to video, I was getting the sound through the PD170 (via firewire) not the video. Please help me.
