Audio Problems when playing in Canvas

Wondered if anyone could help -

The audio plays fine in the Viewer, but when I drag it down into the sequence and play it in the canvas, no audio plays.

Not sure what's going on here.

First check the stupid things; tracks in the Timeline muted? But it's more likely due to using an audio file that doesn't work natively in FCP. Keep in mind that the Viewer displays video and audio at their native settings ... but once in the Timeline, they display at the Sequence settings. So some clips will work perfectly fine in the Viewer but not the Canvas.

What is the source of the audio? What format is it? If its not AIFF 48khz, 16bit, you may need to convert it prior to importing it into your project.
