CREATING A 90-MINUTE DVD in DVD STUDIO PRO

CREATING A 90-MINUTE DVD in DVD STUDIO PRO (August 07, 2008 11:32PM) lizrael
Hello all,
Firstly thankyou Ken this is a brilliant website.
Ok, now to my question.
I have just completed a documentary that is 90 minutes long. Shot on DVPAL. I have made the final cut and exported as PRORES 422(HQ). The file size is approx 37GB. Now when I bring this into DVDSP and adjust the bitrate to 6.2 (which is what 90 minutes calculates to)... it still says the approx disc usage is 5.2 GB which obviously is too much for a type 5 DVD.
I am stuck, what do I do?
When I make a DVD in iDVD it works but then I dont trust the way iDVD works. Just not comfortable.
PLEASE HELP.

one recomndation i would do is re export you final cut file as proress 422 not HQ you arn't working with HD footage and so you are gaining nothing but file size by using HQ setting

second i would use compressor to create your DVD file instead of just using DVDSP from my exerince DVDSP doesn't do as good of a job
