Just now finally getting into HD- been editing on FCP since version 1.25. Dilemma of the day:

A camera operator is sending me DVDs of his P2 cards. The disc is labeled 'contents' and has 6 folders: AUDIO; CLIP; ICON; PROXY; VIDEO; VOICE. There was a hastily scribbled note attached to the disc that read : "use log & transfer". I looked in there and became instantly confused. I bet you have a nifty paper or pointer to a place that can get me going here.

If it makes any difference, this time, this footage will be imported into an SD project. However, in the future, the projects will most likely be all P2.

I do have FCP 6, and was looking for the old import panasonic p2 doo-hickey. I will look into this tutorial when I get back to my system. I am on a job now, waiting for data bases to rebuild for the third time so the avid media tool might be able to see the files I have been trying to delete for a week now. Ahhhh, freelancing....
