DVD: PAL or NTSC or does it matter
DVD: PAL or NTSC or does it matter

I will be shooting in Hong Kong with the intention of posting in FCP studio and authoring DVDs for distribution in Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Canada.
Major questions:
1: record in PAL or NTSC?
2: Assuming the DVD is all regions, does it matter if it is done in PAL or NTSC?
3: If yes, what is the best record format and at what stage do I convert?
Many thanks
Don

While most PAL DVD players will play an NTSC DVD, the TV it's connected to might not display it properly. The other way around; most NTSC DVD players will NOT play a PAL DVD, nor will most NTSC TVs display a PAL signal at all. It's best to output the correct TV standard for the country the disc will be distributed in.

Thanks David
I will be shooting in PAL DVCAM, posting and authoring in PAL. I will also have the PAL tapes hardware converted to NTSC and then redo the edits and authoring in NTSC.
Can you for see any problems?
