dvd player

Hi
I can not burn my movie, every-time I insert a dvd into my mac , and I start the formatt process , after while says to me insert an empty dvd, even I inserted a new dvd, also can not play dvd movie , But with normal cd I can see them on the desktop.
what is the problem.

What brand of media are you using? Stay away from no/low quality brands like Memorex.

I use final cut pro to make my movies and I export them to dvdsp, then I build them and formatt. this time I have one hour and half of movie in dvcpro hd 960x720 p 50 and 25 fsp-
for two years I used this , but suddenly it does not work,

what is happening is that when I insert a blank dvd to write the movie , it says always no blank dvd found , while if i insert a cd it can read it
.
is it a problem with the dvd drive?

Did you run the repair software?

In DVDSP try "build & format", and wait for the "insert disc..." before you do this.
