Effects and Quality

hey guys
I am color correcting a clip using different effects (2 color correction 3 way, 2 mask, 2 mask feather - all on the same clip) and I noticed that there is a "digital noise" and a small, thin red line in the picture, and was wondering if that is because too many effects, and how can I fix that
also, is there anything I should change in my setting/ preferences in order to get the best colors and video quality? rendering, playback control, video processing?
