This is a great tutorial!
Question though; I have tried to do the same Apple-Move with the camera
(where it scales up the object as the camera pulls back-so that it occupies
the same space in the viewfinder)
But this method will not work with rectangles and shapes; nor 3d particles.
Possibly this is the way Motion is designed?!
Also, in 3ds Max the z axis is the y axis (right hand rule) whilst
Motion uses the left-handed rule. In other words if you, as I , worked in
right-handed 3d space where x=left-right, y=towards, away from camera,
and z=up,down; it is very confusing to transpose the y.z values as Motion
run left-handed cartesian space.
There should be a transpose button that says "sub out y for z"
All things considered I think Motion is a great program!
