effects in DCVPRO

Hi everyone,

This new board is really cool...

I am editing some DVCPRO 720p footage for the first time. I adjusted all my settings (correctly, I think), edited a sequence with just some fades and dissolves, and when I exported out as QT and then used Squeeze to create a wmv, anywhere there is a cross dissolve looks like black frames. I don't understand what happened here. Also, it seems I need to render parts of the sequence any time I add a transition in and this didn't normally happen when I worked with SD 4:3 stuff.

Can anyone help me understand what's going on with it?

In FCP, go to the Sequence->Render menus and make sure all of the various render types have a check mark besdie them, the re-render and re-export.

Not trying to be nit-picky here, but FWIW, DVCPro is a DV25 standard definition format. What you're working with is DVCProHD (aka DVCPro100).
