NEAT COLOR CORRECTOR DISCOVERY (August 22, 2008 06:22AM) jrosson
Folks,
Am sure this is not new to the more experienced w/color correction ... but ....
After wrestling with a bunch of clips, adjusting mids and saturation with the sliders for each one, i discovered the numeric tab.
Yeesh.
Will plumb its depths, but the first one worked great ... 'copy filter from one previous.'

JR -

Another great way to do this is to get your settings polished up on one clip, KEEP IT OPEN in the Viewer, then find all similar clips on the timeline and highlight them.

There's an icon in the Filter tab when you have 3-way Color Corrector open that looks like a hand. Grab that and drag it to any of the highlighted clips on the timeline... and they'll all get the same filter and settings applied to them.

Actually, I've found that many filters do this. You can just drag the filter itself straight out of a clip (from within the Viewer window) and drop it onto a clip (or several selected clips) in the timeline, and those settings will copy over. Be sure you don't already have that filter on those clip(s) in the timeline, or another copy of the filter will be applied.

Lastly, you can select a clip on the timeline, choose COPY, then APPLY SETTINGS to other clips, picking which settings to apply (filter, motion, or even audio levels, etc.).

You also can copy the clip with correction (or any filter) on it and paste attributes to one or more other clips.
