Re: MPG4 missing sound when imported in FCP 6.0.4

I have tried exporting from QT Pro to match my timeline sequence setting but it does not give me the audio option - as though no audio exists which I know to be false.

How can I get both video and audio to work in FCP 6.0.4?

What are you exporting, from where? How are you exporting from QT?

Need step by step.

I received an mpg4 file and imported it into FCP 6.0.4 and it lost it's audio. So i opened the file in QT Pro and it played with audio - i then tried to save it as a quicktime .mov and import it iinto FCP but again the audio was no there. I have also tried exporting as a Quicktime Movie file in QT Pro but it grays out the audio option - as if there is no audio in the file - which clearly is wrong. The problem is in FCP when importing this file - the audio is no longer there. Just the video
