Re: Airline travel
Hello,
I need current info on commercial airline regulations to travel in the U.S. with 3 cameras, batteries and ancillary gear, etc. It's probably easier and cheaper to rent once I get to the location, but I need to have this info to support the rent-at-location idea. Any website better than another for this info?
Thanks,
TJ

Depends on the size of your gear.
I travel w/a standard size camera in a carefully packed case that just fits in the overhead of a big jet.
I carry my laptop aboard as well. (those are my carry-ons).
I check lights, tripod, and a bag.
You'll pay extra fees to do so ... especially w/3 cameras/gear.
If you're traveling alone, that's reason enough to rent if you've a good facility at your destination.
No regs other than you have to show your camera and computer while going thru security.

Thanks for the reply.. I thought there was concern about batteries. I have 2 canon xl-1hs nd a hv-30 cam with lowell 5 light kit, mikes, etc.
I'll keep researching.
