Audio problems when playing .mov movies in Timeline/Canvass (September 01, 2008 07:41AM) mcdermos
Hi

I've got some .mov movies that I want to edit using FCP6.

The videos and audio plays fine in the Viewer, but when I place the videos/audio on the timeline the audio doesn't play.

What do I need to do? I've tried rendering but still audio doesn't work.

Thanks

What are the .MOV files made from (codec)? If the .MOV files are muxed, they'll need to be demuxed in oder for the audio to work properly. It may also be that the video will need to be converted to match your FCP Sequence settings for best results. If they're MPEG files, MPEG Streamclip should be able to handle the task.
