External HD Space Needed

HI Ken, I am using "My Book" external Hard-drive 500GB to store all of my work. I have erased some of the old projects to make space fore more, but after i delete the old projects, I still don't have more space in Ex.HD. What can I do to create more space in external hard drive? Thank you all for your help. Horn

Did you empty the trash after deleting the files? If you haven't, the space will stillbe shown as unavailable.
