Can I download an upgrade to FCP 5.1 for free or is this a $500 upgrade kind of thing?

FCP 5.1 (cross over) is no longer available, you'll have to upgrade to the FC Studio 2 package, I believe it's $599 for the upgrade.

I went to your link (chv-plugins) but am not sure which FX-Script plug in to use? Any advice?
