Can only open FCP if I trash Prefs every time? Anyone know why and what I can do about it?

Existing project which now seems to be working. I'm not sure when it doesn't work just that sometimes it doesn't so I trash prefs: Library - preferences - and trash apple. final cut pro plst then go to final cut pro user data and trash the three in that folder and it will work.

I don't know it's weird. Like I say it now seems to be fine?
