I have 720x486 SD sequence (w/ 720x486 media) that has to made into a 16x9 QT without letterboxing. What FCP or Compressor export settings should I use to achieve this?

Ok, but when I export my 720x486 sequence to 640x360, the resulting clip in squished (people look short and fat). Did I miss something?

Actually, you can upconvert your 4:3 footage to a good 16x9 by using Red Giants 'Instant HD Advanced' reviewed on this site.
