ProRes 422 1440X1080 to 1920X1080

ProRes 422 1440X1080 to 1920X1080 (January 31, 2012 04:18AM) DrakeHale33
Hello All,

I shoot with a Sony HVR A1U and capture my footage via prores and am left with ProRes 1440X1080 files to edit with which are great. My question is when I'm exporting I want to export it as full raster 1920X1080. Would it make more sense to do this in compressor or when I'm exporting a quicktime movie instead of current settings should I select ProRes 422 1920X1080 60i. Its much easier to give people the files when the files are full raster. Thanks

Don't know what verson of FCP you're running.

As long as your source video is 60i, you can export out of FCP as full raster, you don't need Compressor for this.

In legacy FCP, set an In and out point in the timeline at around 30 seconds of video, export and test.

Its FCP 6.06. Is that a standard operation for 1440 files, you always have to force them to 1920 on export?
