L & Capture

Having a bit of a problem here. Using a Sony A1-U for downloading, the iLink is set to off as it should be. I was capturing some footage in FC6, took a break and then when I came back, I couldn't log and capture anymore. It now says 'unable to initialize'.
I trashed preferences and still the same. Suggestions?
