Re: HELP!!! HD down-convert to DVCPRO50

Need some help... I've got a finished file, everything was shot and edited in HD... The timeline setting is DVCPROHD 1080i30... I need to down-convert this file to DVCPRO50 NTSC but everytime I try to do this in compressor or quicktime conversion, it never letterbox's the top and bottom, it only letterbox's the sides... It seems like I've tried everything, I'm totally out of ideas... can anyone help out?

DVCPRO HD is 16:9 widescreen. When you convert HD to SD you have two options:

1. You convert to letterboxed SD (4:3 with black bars on top and bottom)
2. Or you convert to anamorphic widescreen SD (4:3 stretched to 16:9)

What final SD format do you wish to achieve ?
