displacement mapping in motion 3

Hi guys,

I guess it's that old motion or after effects question, apart from I know how it works in AE. I've been playing around with the displacement filter in Motion only it's not doing what i want. I have my footage. On top of it I've drawn a narrow rectangle that stretches from top to bottom. I've animated with Rec. button to move across the screen and back again over the duration of my clip. I added the displacement map filter, dropped my animated rectangle into the source drop box but when i play back the animation isn't working. The image is displaced but stationary. If you do the same in AE then the displacement will follow the animation of it's source. I know some will say if you can do it in AE then why want to do it in Motion, fair enough, but maybe you can do it in motion just in a different way and I also love using Motion over AE, easier interface, not as much rendering etc..
