Re: Same dimensions, doesn't fit sequence

I am still getting used to FCP X, so this might be a very basic question.

I have a project that is 1920 X 1080. My clips look fine. I create a Motion clip to go into my project and export it as a Movie. When I put my exported motion clip into the project, the top and bottom don't fit. The first pic below is a normal clip in my project, the second picture is a motion clip. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

A clip created with 1080p HD settings in Motion 5 will fit perfectly in a Project with 1080p HD settings in FCP X (see screenshots).

You might double-check if your project settings in Motion are correct and if the slide you have created completely fills the Motion 5 project window. If this is okay select the slide on your FCP X timeline and check in the Inspector > Video tab if you haven't applied any cropping or scaling to the clip.
