Shortening a sequence in FCP7 - and keeping markers on last half?

I have a wedding sequence I'd like to shorten from 2:30:00 to (2) halves. Originally, it was going to be one, but got too long.

I duplicated the sequences, and the first half could easily go in and delete the chapter markers I set up one by one, preserving the 1st half of chapter markers.

Is there a way to keep the markers in the new second half, that I removed the video from the 1st half of the sequence? The markers of course are still there, if I delete them and bump the second half back to the start of new sequence, the markers will main.
