Hi Ken and all,
FCP 5.1.4 (I know, I'm a fossil.)
Using Quicktime settings, I'm exporting a 24 minute video that will be downloaded by people who buy it. Using these settings: 720x480 - 16:9, Quality Medium the movie is 1.27 Gb. A bit large for downloading.
Does customizing the data rate for export allow me to make it smaller and if so what's the lowest I can go without loosing much quality?
Alternatively, can I zip it for upload/download? If so how?
Thanx,
Ben Bryant NYC

Ben,
You can ZIP or archive your file by selecting the file and then 'control' or right click on it and select 'Compress'.

Okay, I did that and the zip file says 1.27 Gigs. Same size as the QT file.
Wherr did I Err? (Spelling intentional.)

I figured out how to reduce it by using MPEG Streamclip.
