Power Point to Movie File (January 27, 2017 11:08AM) Tom George
I don't have Power Point on my Mac but I do have it on my PC. I have a CD with a PP presentation on it with music.
Is there a way to convert or save a PP file to a movie file?

Thanks,

Tom

Open it with PP and export it as a movie. But you do need PP>

John,

I have PP 2007. I opened the PP presentation in PP but I don't see a save option.

I mean I do not see a Save or Export option.

One more time. I was able to find a Save option but no Export option. The Save option doesn't have a movie file choice.

After doing a search on the Web it seems I need PP 2010. I guess I'll revert to the old way of getting a PP presentation to
video. I play it on the PC and record it on my camcorder set on a tripod. Not the best way but it works and my client can then
watch it on a DVD and not have to have PP to view it.

If you have iWork installed on your Mac, it should open the PP file* and be able to export it as a QuickTime Movie file.

* Works only with .ppt and pptx files. Does not work with .pps or ppsx files - those are compressed/self-contained.

DH,

Thanks for the info but my FCP 6.0.6 does not have iWork.

I meant to say that iWorks is not on my Mac. Tom
