Sometimes you have to think out of the box.

I have a 2008 MacPro that stopped working and I recently got it fixed. It's hard to find a mac repair place anymore but here is something to think about if you need your mac fixed. I took my computer to Weber State University just a few minutes from my home. They did a diagnostic, found the problem, ordered the parts and performed a disk image on two drives. So if you can't find a repair place then try you local collage or university. Weber State only charged me $266 everything. A disk image at a data recovery business would cost me at least $800 and possibly $2000 for each drive.

Thanks for posting this, I'm sure that it will be a help. A lot of us are running older Macs and getting them serviced is becoming more of a problem
