Compressor Mpeg1 and 16:9

I have a clip that I have created via Motion, and would like to turn into a MPEG1 while retaining the 16:9 size. Now i can create an MPEG1 that is 4:3 in size and retain the 16:9 format, but i would like the true 16:9 for our screen size.
