Re: Transition Elongating

Does anyone know of a way to make the transitions hold their 'effect'? I'm thinking like in a video switcher where you hold the switch half way through a wipe and see both video signals sharing their respective halves of the screen. Then you pull the switch the rest of the way down and you have just one image. It seems like if the transitions had key frames this would solve my issue. Are there any plugins that can do this or do I have to layer everything and do it manually?

This may do the trick for you: place your first clip on V1. Place the clip you want to transition to on V2, only overlap Clip 2 over Clip 1 by the amount you want to "hold." Keyframe the opacity of both clips where you want the "transition" to start and drop the opacity of both clips to an amount that looks good to you.
