OUTPUT DEVICE DOES NOT APPEAR IN DVDSP 4...CANNOT BURN

OUTPUT DEVICE DOES NOT APPEAR IN DVDSP 4...CANNOT BURN (June 26, 2008 06:14AM) Nim
Hi, I hope someone can help. When using the burn button on DVDSP 4.03 (on a macbook pro 2.4 using 10.5.3) I can't burn directly to disk using the burn button on the tool bar. It comes up with the message "formatting successful" "formatting finished".

On the build and format option my output device option has been limited to just "Hard Drive'. My burner does not appear.

I've trashed the preferences to no avail. It seems the only option is to build the necessary videoTS folders and then burn them using another application. This is a real hassle. On the profiler the disc burning info reads as follows:

HL-DT-ST DVDRW GSA-S10N:

Firmware Revision: AP12
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw, DVD-DAO
Media: Insert media and refresh to show available burn speeds

What is going on? Why can I not simply use burn directly to disk as I did before on DVDSP2 on my powerbook?
