Re: Keyboard Shortcuts?

Lately I've been trying to use more keyboard shortcuts, and just tried to use F9 & F10. According to my keyboard layout map, these are permanently assigned to Insert Clip and Overwrite Clip, respectively.

Problem is that they don't work. All F9 & F10 do is rearrange open FCP windows. They do not perform either function that they're meant to.

Have I incorrectly set a pref or something?

Hold down the 'fn' key and they should work properly. You can switch this in System Prefs > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard tab "Use all F1 etc as standard".

Several of the F keys are assigned to other functions by Expose. Open System preferences and click on the Expose pane. Reassign the current F9 and F10 functions to other keys or to nothing, then relaunch FCP.
