Do I need Quicktime Pro . . . (April 01, 2009 06:19PM) foxbat7
. . . along with MPEG2.component to bring ripped DVD into FCP? Or is Quicktime Player 7 sufficient?

To see if you already have QT Pro, open QuickTime Player, then go to the Apple Menu and select Preferences - Registration. If you have the Pro version, it will say so there.

I would look at Mpeg Streamclip, i favour it massively over QT Pro, it will also convert DVD's to DV for FCP and it's free.
