Re: Pro Apps updater

Hi just used software updater and installed a pro apps update. Now I cant open FCP6 as it asks for my serial and then says it is invalid.
The serial number I had was from my instal of FCP 5.1 I had used an updater which recognised the pre installed application so when I used the updater it didnt ask for a new serial got one with the updater but neither work.
Any suggestions?

Try using the serial number of the first version of FCP that you got.

You have FCP 6 but you used the serial number for FCP 5.1? Why? Use the FCP 6 serial number.

Managed to sort the problem out by deleting and re installing everything related to FCP studio but puzzled as to why this happened. I will think twice about installing what are supposed to be maintenance updates in the middle of a job-four working hours wasted by Apple.

I just wait until Ken installs something, if a week goes by without hearing him scream in frustration, I install :-)
